Word Trekker collection is one of those that was ahead of time, like many of my visions about fashion. Still I keep forging new ideas and styles but I always like to remember my proud moments and this one is great to share with you. Happy Thursday. Lineisy Montero celebrates her birthday

So this dress has a story to tell. When I started working on it, I was going to dress someone very important in my designers life @arisanchezr who was debuting as #redcarpet host for the #premiossoberano But when the dress was finish and sent it was held in customs for a month, so the show passed and the dress was still in a box somewhere in the airport in Santo Domingo. After a few weeks of torture I was able to get the dress, which by the way weights 22lbs alone. Later I was able to use it for this shoot with the Dominican Model breakout star whom is celebrating her birthday today @lineisymontero a fun and loving girl that has an unique personality and passion for life. Did Google and Ivyrevel just killed fashion?

So Google and H&M who is parent company of Ivyrevel just launch the dreadful application that will make even more damage to the already cluttered fashion industry. Many designers for years never took the time to think about their client or women they were dressing. Mostly it was a fantasy of males point of views with a few exceptions.   But all through out you could see the art inspiring fashion and viceversa, but I would like to question the role of a artist in fashion. 

For some the cloths that cover their bodies is not important but for many it represents the them in great detail. Fashion is a point of reference for self, for when you connect a memory to an outfit your emotions are touched in a deeper level.   Though you would not be aware of that because most just want to try to be someone they are not and therefore what is there to remember. 

I hope I can be a fashion designer for a long time but with more technology coming up and redefining my vision don't know how Is that going to happen.  My hope is that this doesn't take off and that more people buy my designs.

 Long time friends and colleagues Rosa Gough and Sal Garcia both come from the same agency; where master connoisseur Sandro Guzman discovered them.  Rosa Gough has had much success in breaking boundaries for the New breed of Models coming out of the Dominican Republic.  Now she travels to the Philippines in support of her pal Sal Garcia, whom is competing in the Miss Universe in Manila, representing the Dominican Republic. Ysaunny Brito in Revolt of instinct

Top Model Ysaunny Brito has been in top of the game, from starting in Kanye West & Balmain collaboration music video Wolves; she has been making her stamp in an industry that keeps in constant evolution. I was so greatfull to be able to work with her beauty. I met Ysaunny when she just started modeling for Ossygeno; the  Dominican boutique modeling agency in charge of the Dominican Model boom headed by Sandro Guzman, she looked innocent and strong, full of contradictions that make her unique and easy to work with. Here are a few more looks from that amazing shoot.

Final Frontier, a term notes in a small part of a quote by John F: Kennedy, he called on human kind to reach new frontiers in space, to maybe inhabit. We thought about this and from there we transformed it into the ground inspiration for this collection.

We use dress forms as a way to  empower the role women in the space exploration; and the issue of Inequality; a  real issue today.  Maybe it  starts by the way girls are labeled as weak even in our modern society. Going forward, will we transport our believes? Will woman be equal? With this questions in mind, we are not looking to answer them but to empower women, to dress up and speak up, so that the feeling of independence actually becomes freedom of will that will nurture our new frontiers.

As a our creative force is always searching for ways to incorporate the nature of all living things, including us the human experience. We find ourselves immobilized, when all that we are doing is pushing with force to materialize. Our dreams are connected to our lives, so our aspirations are part of our life.  We take so many things for granted because we have been in the dark about the true nature of our expierience here on earth. We do not know about tomorrow but we plan for it, we can change the past but we long for it, we follow rules to achieve those goals we set. But all comes down to vision, your vision, your body, your life. Accepting your loving self without guilt or regrets. Believe in yourself by learning about yourself.  #wellness #health

  New York City fashion designer duo explore women's issues in the space exploration age for their new collection, Final Frontier!

Nelson Tavarez | NT  is a New York base Womenswear brand that has been getting great recognition due to the high demand by stylist, bloggers and celebrities that are requesting the unique designs being forge at the Washington Heights, Manhattan Studio.  From the most recent project with Natti Nattalia and Daddy Yankee;  for which We created a series of looks for her for their latest Video "Otra Cosa", a long side the fabulous stylist Oscar Monte de Oca, whom has work with a sophisticated group celebrities; to confectioning an amazing costume for the "Orange is the New Black" star, Ms. Jackie Cruz; and the amazing Latin TV personality from "El Gordo y la Flaca" Clarissa Molina, whom is a great fan of Our work since she participated in Miss Universe, representing our home country Dominican Republic. 

The launch of this collection coincides with the expansion of  the options offered in our website. The Final Frontier collection will feature exclusive ready to wear Styles, original prints and Colors.
