Lineisy Montero celebrates her birthday

So this dress has a story to tell. When I started working on it, I was going to dress someone very important in my designers life @arisanchezr who was debuting as #redcarpet host for the #premiossoberano But when the dress was finish and sent it was held in customs for a month, so the show passed and the dress was still in a box somewhere in the airport in Santo Domingo. After a few weeks of torture I was able to get the dress, which by the way weights 22lbs alone. Later I was able to use it for this shoot with the Dominican Model breakout star whom is celebrating her birthday today @lineisymontero a fun and loving girl that has an unique personality and passion for life. Top Model Ysaunny Brito has been in top of the game, from starting in Kanye West & Balmain collaboration music video Wolves; she has been making her stamp in an industry that keeps in constant evolution. I was so greatfull to be able to work with her beauty. I met Ysaunny when she just started modeling for Ossygeno; the  Dominican boutique modeling agency in charge of the Dominican Model boom headed by Sandro Guzman, she looked innocent and strong, full of contradictions that make her unique and easy to work with. Final Frontier, a term notes in a small part of a quote by John F: Kennedy, he called on human kind to reach new frontiers in space, to maybe inhabit. We thought about this and from there we transformed it into the ground inspiration for this collection.

We use dress forms as a way to  empower the role women in the space exploration; and the issue of Inequality; a  real issue today.  Maybe it  starts by the way girls are labeled as weak even in our modern society. Going forward, will we transport our believes? Will woman be equal? With this questions in mind, we are not looking to answer them but to empower women, to dress up and speak up, so that the feeling of independence actually becomes freedom of will that will nurture our new frontiers.
